As Towerpoint Wealth’s President and founder, Joseph provides customized financial planning and strategic wealth management counsel. Over his 24-year career, he has helped a select group of successful individuals, business owners, and entrepreneurs, as well as corporate professionals and retirees, to both grow and protect their personal net worth and wealth. Joseph’s extensive training, experience, and expertise in portfolio and investment management, sustainable retirement income generation, tax minimization, and wealth protection planning has helped him help his clients properly coordinate all of their financial affairs, remain disciplined in executing on their financial, investment, and retirement plan, and achieve economic peace of mind.

Joseph launched Towerpoint Wealth with Lori Heppner and Nathan Billigmeier in May of 2017 following a successful tenure as a Managing Director – Investment Officer, working in Wells Fargo Advisors’ Private Client Group (PCG) office in Sacramento, California. His began his career in 1999, training as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities. Following its acquisition in 2004, Joseph joined the new parent company, Wachovia Securities, as a Senior Vice President, where he continued to gain experience and fulfill his commitment to strengthening and coordinating his clients’ financial lives. Under his leadership, and now in its sixth year, Towerpoint Wealth, a fully-independent Sacramento wealth management firm, has grown to manage almost $500 million in client assets.

Joseph graduated cum laude from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh’s College of Business and Economics in 1998. As a long-time member of the Investments and Wealth Institute (formerly IMCA), he officially earned the prestigious CIMA® or Certified Investment Management Analyst designation in 2003.

In his career, Joseph was featured as “Money Man Joe” for eight years as a regular television guest for Sacramento’s primary ABC affiliate, KXTV News10. Addressing various investment planning, financial, and economic issues, Joseph regularly interfaced with anchors such as Dan Elliott, Keba Arnold, Christina Mendonza, and Walt Gray. He has also been interviewed on numerous occasions by Nannette Miranda of KGO-TV, San Francisco’s ABC affiliate, and has spoken about various wealth management topics for a number of local agencies and organizations. More recently, he has been a regular contributor to ABC10’s “Dollars and Sense” segment, working with anchor Lora Painter to discuss various Sacramento wealth management, estate planning, and income tax issues.

Joseph has two children, a 17-year old daughter, Josephine, who is a junior at Christian Brothers High School, and 14-year old son, Henry, an 8th grader at Bradshaw Christian. When he is not coaching his son’s youth baseball teams, Joseph enjoys hitting the gym and working out, as well as running the beautiful off-road trails in the greater Sacramento area. He also is a huge sports fan (Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers, Penn State, and of course, GO KINGS!), and regularly can be caught participating in, watching, or attending a baseball, basketball, or football game.
